In Part I of The Collective West Has a Collective Objectivity Problem, I described the Collective West’s strange inability to maintain objectivity when it comes to the war in Ukraine. The article also went on to establish the first 3 of 5 verifiable facts about the conflict in Ukraine. These facts are that Ukraine cannot win the war, sanctions did not work, and modern Russia is not the Soviet Union.
In Part II, we will unpack the remaining 2 facts about the war in Ukraine and bring it all to a fitting conclusion. As in Part I, it is requested that you approach this material with the focus and discipline required to fully understand each example.
FACT #4: US Military Vulnerabilities Have Been Exposed
For the first time since the interwar period after World War I, the United States finds itself vulnerable militarily. To be clear, America still has the world’s top armed forces. We dominate in the air and on the sea. Our stealth technology is unmatched. Our special forces are elite. And our defense budget dwarfs all others. That said, neocon and neoliberal policies over the past 30 years have been disastrous for our long term military strength.
If you are not familiar with US military strategy, here is a quick breakdown. It is not all encompassing, but it will help you understand how we strategically operate.
The US military relies heavily on aircraft carriers and air superiority to project power and protect our interests
We send these aircraft carriers around the world and it is like having a fully equipped base ready to attack wherever needed. From there, we use stealth bombers and precision guided missiles to take out targets without needing old school artillery bombardment. And if we cannot get an aircraft carrier close enough, we still have 750 military bases in 80 countries to fill the gaps
On top of that, we have powerful nuclear submarines, an aggressive marine corps, a more than capable Army, and the second largest nuclear arsenal on Earth.
To most people, and even many military experts, this looks like a strong and forward thinking military strategy. And in many ways it is.
But some countries like Russia, and to a lesser extent China, took a different path. Let us look at how Russia approached it and what strengths and weaknesses show up.
Military Production Capacity
Unlike in the US, where defense contractors build temporary factories to fill an order and then shut everything down after fulfilling it, Russia keeps its production systems active and ready to surge at a moment’s notice. Russian facilities are current, their domestic supply chains are strong, and their education system teaches students skills that will allow them to step into wartime production roles if needed. That means Russia can make and replace anything their military needs quickly, in large volume, and at low cost.
Meanwhile, the US and Europe have no real way to restock our supplies at scale or with speed. Russia now outproduces both the US and Europe combined in weapons and ammunition and can keep doing so indefinitely.
Air Defense Systems
One thing the US military does not have is a national air defense system. President Reagan tried to develop one in the 1980s but it never happened. The idea was that with two giant oceans and the world’s best navy and air force, there was no need for such an expensive system. So instead, we built a costly Patriot Missile defense program that is mediocre at best.
Russia took the opposite route. They invested heavily in a national missile defense system that can take out drones, fighter jets, and ballistic missiles. Their systems are mobile, low cost, and highly effective. Newer versions can even identify and destroy stealth jets and hypersonic missiles. These S series systems are so capable that even old Soviet versions like the S300 are still being used today to protect Kiev from Russian attacks.
Drone Strategy
While the US focuses on a small number of large expensive drones that include complex technology and requires extensive training to operate, Russia is mass producing thousands of cheap drones that look like something you might fly at a park. These drones are low cost, hard to detect, provide live video reconnaissance and drop explosives powerful enough to disable an American tank. It is not out of the question that Russia is building 25,000 FPV drones per week. For context, the United States only managed to produce 25,000 small military drones in all of 2024.
Hypersonic Missiles
Hypersonic missiles are next generation weapons that travel between 7,500 and 20,000 miles per hour. They are so fast and maneuverable that current defense systems cannot stop them. Worst of all for the US, a hypersonic missile can sink an aircraft carrier.
Right now, Russia is the only country to use a hypersonic missile in combat and is the global leader in this game changing technology. Russian systems are field tested, and their nuclear submarines are already equipped to launch hypersonics. The United States has zero operational hypersonic weapons.
What the War in Ukraine Exposed
Despite having the biggest military budget in the world, the war in Ukraine exposed that the United States is falling behind in weapons production, drone strategy, air defense systems, and hypersonic technology. The conflict also drained most of our excess weapons and ammunition with no quick way to replace them.
When you step back and look with a critical eye, what you see is deeply troubling. The US cannot produce ammo, missles, tanks, jets, or anything at scale. Our drone strategy is out of touch. We have no way to stop hypersonic missiles and no ability to build them ourselves. Our aircraft carriers are now vulnerable. Our recruitment numbers are awful. And we have no national air defense system to protect our country from missile or drone attacks.
Unlike Russia and China who focus on practical deployment, the US continues to aim for perfection and ends up with nothing usable in the areas we need most.
The hard truth is that our military is vulnerable and growing more so by the day. We do not have the luxury of wasting our limited stockpiles on a war that cannot be won. We need to focus on practicality, permanently ramp up production, dominate in air defense and hypersonic weapons, and start producing millions of cheap FPV drones for the battlefield. If we do not do these things soon, our position as the world’s strongest military will collapse far sooner than anyone expects.
FACT #5: The Ukrainian Government Is a Nazi Aligned Regime
Of all the insane things that have happened in this war, the most shocking is that the Ukrainian government is aligned with Nazis and the US still supports them.
To understand Ukraine’s relationship with Nazis, you have to understand Stefan Bandera. Bandera was a Ukrainian nationalist who promoted ethnic cleansing and revolutionary violence. He led a group called OUN B that worked alongside Nazi Germany during World War II. The group published anti Semitic propaganda and carried out massacres of Jews and Poles that are now considered acts of genocide.
Bandera died in 1959 but is still honored as a hero in Ukraine today. Streets and statues are named after him. There is even a national award in his honor.
Modern followers of Bandera are called Banderites. They still exist in large numbers across Ukraine and even inside the government. The most aggressive of them formed the Azov Battalion in 2014. That militia helped overthrow the elected government and install the current regime led by Zelensky.
Let's be clear about the Azov Battalion:
It was founded by open white supremacists
It has used Nazi symbols repeatedly
Its members have committed documented human rights abuses
Despite that, Azov has been officially absorbed into Ukraine’s military. And while Ukraine claims the Nazis are gone from Azov, hundreds if not thousands of videos and photos show otherwise. You can literally see Nazi patches, swastikas, and flags being proudly displayed on Ukrainian uniforms, vehicles, and tanks.
The ties are so obvious that US defense agreements with Ukraine specifically say no American support can go to Azov. It would violate our own laws.
So how is the Ukrainian government not Nazi aligned when they glorify Bandera, fund Banderite militias, and allow open Nazis to operate in their ranks?
Some people argue that it cannot be true because Zelensky and other high ranking officials are Jewish. But that argument does not hold up. Hitler’s own regime made exceptions for Jewish people when they were talented or deemed useful. Look it up! Key Nazi personnel were Jewish:
Helmut Wilberg was a Luftwaffe General declared Aryan by Hitler
Emil Maurice was Hitler’s Jewish chauffeur and personal bodyguard
Bernhard Rogge was a Jewish Vice Admiral in the Nazi Navy
Werner Goldberg was Jewish and used as a poster boy for the ideal German soldier
Otto Warburg was a Nobel Prize winning Jewish scientist who worked freely in Nazi Germany.
If Jewish men held high ranks under Hitler, why is it impossible to believe that a variation of that could be happening in Ukraine today?
When Ukraine honors Stefan Bandera, when white supremacist Banderites founded and run the Azov Brigade, when Nazi symbols are seen on Ukrainian soldiers and tanks, when Israel and major Jewish groups call this out, when our own laws ban support for Azov, and when history proves this kind of relationship is possible, it becomes obvious that Ukraine’s Nazi connection is real and undeniable as the proof is far beyond any reasonable doubt.
Conclusion
This article is called The Collective West Has a Collective Objectivity Problem because the West has abandoned critical thinking. Americans and Europeans are blindly supporting a war that makes no sense. To help correct that, I laid out 5 irrefutable facts pertaining to the conflict:
1. US sanctions failed and hurt the long term value of our dollar
2. Modern Russia is not the Soviet Union and does not threaten us in the same way
3. Ukraine cannot win this war due to the numbers and capabilities
4. The US military is vulnerable and stockpiles are depleted
5. Ukraine’s government is a Nazi aligned regime
Now that you are aware of and understand these 5 verifiable facts, ask yourself the following questions and answer objectively :
Why are we okay with spending billions, weakening the dollar, exposing our military vulnerabilities, and draining our already depleted stockpiles to help a Nazi aligned government fight a war they cannot win?
And why should Americans, and especially Republicans, allow their new President to continue Joe Biden’s war and disastrous foreign policy?
The answer is, it is not okay and we shouldn't allow it!
But until the Collective West’s brain rot is replaced by objectivity and critical thinking, our government officials will keep throwing your money away, compromising the safety of the nation, and needlessly wasting hundreds of thousands more Ukranian lives in a war that is not in our strategic national interests.
The time has come for you and everyone else to start pushing back where possible, educate others, and demand that this madness ends. It will not be easy, but I will be fighting the good fight right alongside you.
As always, thank you for your support and readership.

Hi Jon, scary facts about our military. We need to do somehting fast. Also, Ikraine's ties to the Nazi past is undeniable but I'm not so sure it is prevalent in modern day Ukraine, although some vestiges of Nazism surely exist. Support for Ukraine is a tough issue. You make some good points but isn't Russia a greater threat?
